Two Palestinians, including an elderly woman, were injured early Friday by heavy Israeli army gunfire in Khan Younis in southern Gaza, while a young girl was also wounded by Israeli fire in the eastern part of the area.
Palestinian sources said an elderly woman was injured on Street 5 and a young man in Hamad City after Israeli heavy military vehicles opened intense fire in Khan Younis. A girl, Sahar Al-Shawaf, was also wounded as Israeli forces carried out sustained heavy gunfire toward tents east of Hamad City, north of Khan Younis.
The Palestinian Civil Defense said its crews recovered the remains of martyr Tamer Al-Humaida, who was targeted by a drone the previous night in the Al-Iqlimi area in the southern Gaza Strip. The remains were transferred to Nasser Medical Complex.
Israeli shelling and gunfire continued in several parts of the Gaza Strip, accompanied by demolition operations and the firing of illumination flares.
In Gaza City, Israeli forces fired illumination flares east of the city and carried out two demolition operations in the northeast and east. A drone also targeted the area around the Shuja’iyya intersection with bombs, while Israeli aircraft carried out strikes east of the Tuffah neighborhood.
In Khan Younis, Israeli forces carried out large-scale demolition operations south of the city, while Israeli warships opened fire in the waters off Rafah in southern Gaza.
