According to a statement by the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club, further clashes resulted in injuries and cases of suffocation, while Israeli forces fired tear gas and stun grenades toward Palestinian homes. Residents were also subjected to field interrogations after being subjected to mistreatment.
Several Palestinians sustained bruises and other injuries, while Israeli forces arrested seven Palestinians during their ongoing seventh day of aggression in the Hebron Governorate in the southern West Bank. Meanwhile, the Support and Relief Committee has continued providing urgent assistance to displaced and affected residents despite Israeli restrictions and measures.
In Hebron, Israeli forces continued their campaign and imposed a tight siege on the city, closing its entrances and exits in the areas of Al-Jalda and Deir Bahha. The forces have carried out daily raids on residents’ homes and destroyed their contents, while forcing some families to leave their homes and confining others inside their houses and preventing them from leaving.
According to figures from the Support and Assistance Committee and the Hebron Municipality, around 780 families have been affected by the campaign, while approximately 5,000 people have been displaced or placed under siege, particularly in Al-Jalda and Deir Bahha, which have been under a strict blockade and closure since last Friday.
Despite Israeli restrictions and the prevention of aid deliveries to the sealed-off areas west of Hebron, the Support and Relief Committee has continued providing urgent assistance to those displaced and affected by the campaign.
Separately, Israeli forces demolished three homes in the towns of Deir Ballut and Bruqin, west of Salfit in the northern West Bank.
Jihad Al-Qassem, mayor of Deir Ballut, said the number of stop-work, construction and demolition orders issued in the town in recent years had reached around 100. He added that the number of homes and structures demolished by Israeli forces in the town had exceeded 10.
