Jordan records 11 new COVID-19 deaths

AMMAN  — Jordan recorded 2,012 new COVID-19 cases and 11 new deaths Thursday, bringing the total death toll to 11,088 and the total number of cases to 870,505.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 757 cases, while Zarqa recorded 164 cases. Irbid registered 517 cases, Balqa 94 cases, Karak recorded 57 cases, Jerash recorded 44 cases, and Tafileh recorded 26 cases. Madaba registered 65 cases, Aqaba 68, and Ajloun 61.

The ministry said in a statement that 87 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 93 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 22,999 according to the ministry. Out of 36,291 COVID-19 tests conducted Thursday, 5.54 percent of them came back positive.
