AMMAN — Jordan recorded 1,473 new COVID-19 cases and 15 new
deaths Thursday, bringing the total death toll to 10,918 and the total number
of cases to 847,506.
The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 613 cases,
while Zarqa recorded 121 cases. Irbid registered 252 cases, Balqa 117 cases,
Karak recorded 12, Jerash recorded 41 cases, and Tafileh recorded 8. Madaba
registered 59 cases, Aqaba 86, and Ajloun 26.
The ministry said in a statement that around 84 hospitalized
COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 76
new patients were admitted.
The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at
around 16,562 according to the ministry. Around 5.29 percent of the 27,834
COVID-19 tests conducted today came back positive.
