Jordan records 9 COVID deaths on Friday

AMMAN  — Jordan recorded 778 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, in addition to 9 new deaths, bringing the death toll to 10,727 and the caseload to 824,697.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health stated that Amman recorded 360 cases, while Zarqa recorded 60 cases.

Irbid registered 168 cases, while Balqa recorded 47 cases.

Karak recorded 7, Jerash recorded 15 cases, and Tafileh recorded 9.

Madaba registered 10 cases, Aqaba 29, and Ajloun 22.

The ministry added in a statement that some 59 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 68 were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 12,444 according to the Ministry of Health.

Around 2.85 percent of the 27,327 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
