1,494 new COVID-19 cases, 12 new deaths

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 1,494 new COVID-19 cases and 12 new deaths Friday, bringing the total death toll to 10,930 and the total number of cases to 849,000.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 578 cases, while Zarqa recorded 145 cases. Irbid registered 318 cases, Balqa 78 cases, Karak recorded 47, Jerash recorded 34 cases, and Tafileh recorded 16. Madaba registered 58 cases, Aqaba 94, and Ajloun 33.

The ministry said in a statement that around 54 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 82 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 17,168 according to the ministry. Around 4.66 percent of the 32,094 COVID-19 tests conducted today came back positive.
