Jordan’s positivity rate stands at 8.47% on Thursday

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 4,283 new COVID-19 cases and 30 new deaths on Thursday, bringing the total death toll to 11,429 and the total number of cases to 932,539.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1,779 cases, while Zarqa recorded 499 cases. Irbid registered 810 cases, Balqa 319 cases, Karak recorded 156 cases, Jerash recorded 153 cases, and Tafileh recorded 47 cases. Madaba registered 103 cases, Aqaba 74, Ramtha 77, and Ajloun 90.

The ministry said in a statement that 119 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 186 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 46,497 according to the ministry. Out of 50,555 COVID-19 tests conducted Thursday 8.47 percent of them came back positive.
