Jordan records 5,180 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 5,180 new COVID-19 cases and 33 new deaths on Wednesday, bringing the total death toll to 11,850 and the total number of cases to 993,339.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1,872 cases, while Zarqa recorded 679 cases. Irbid registered 1,063 cases, Balqa 384 cases, Karak recorded 133 cases, Jerash recorded 164 cases, and Tafileh recorded 45 cases. Madaba registered 153 cases, Aqaba 67, Ramtha 202, and Ajloun 129.

The ministry said in a statement that 159 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 181 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 65,083 according to the ministry. Out of 52,589 COVID-19 tests conducted Wednesday 9.85 percent of them came back positive.
