Jordan records 5,811 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 5,811 new COVID-19 cases and 26 new deaths on Monday, bringing the total death toll to 11,787 and the total number of cases to 981,767.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1,861 cases, while Zarqa recorded 715 cases. Irbid registered 1,255 cases, Balqa 432 cases, Karak recorded 182 cases, Jerash recorded 184 cases, and Tafileh recorded 52 cases. Madaba registered 273 cases, Aqaba 77, Ramtha 348, and Ajloun 190.

The ministry said in a statement that 151 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 147 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 62,594 according to the ministry. Out of 54,223 COVID-19 tests conducted Monday 10.72 percent of them came back positive.
