Jordan records 46 new COVID-19 deaths, positivity rate stands at 10.26%

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 4,555 new COVID-19 cases and 46 new deaths on Sunday, bringing the total death toll to 11,761 and the total number of cases to 975,956.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1548 cases, while Zarqa recorded 405 cases. Irbid registered 1,073 cases, Balqa 374 cases, Karak recorded 189 cases, Jerash recorded 156 cases, and Tafileh recorded 39 cases. Madaba registered 172 cases, Aqaba 82, Ramtha 89, and Ajloun 143.

The ministry said in a statement that 125 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 207 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 61,107 according to the ministry. Out of 44,379 COVID-19 tests conducted Sunday 10.26 percent of them came back positive.
