Jordan records 2,976 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 2,976 new COVID-19 cases and 28 new deaths on Saturday, bringing the total death toll to 11,715 and the total number of cases to 971,401.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 751 cases, while Zarqa recorded 340 cases. Irbid registered 1,000 cases, Balqa 307 cases, Karak recorded 43 cases, Jerash recorded 98 cases, and Tafileh recorded 28 cases. Madaba registered 110 cases, Aqaba 24, Ramtha 67, and Ajloun 9.

The ministry said in a statement that 99 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 147 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 60,131 according to the ministry. Out of 30,680 COVID-19 tests conducted Saturday 9.7 percent of them came back positive.
