Israeli forces on Sunday renewed shelling on the western outskirts of Beit Jinn in the western Damascus countryside after infantry troops advanced into the Joura al-Louz area near Tal Bat al-Warda.

Syrian television reported that Israeli forces fired seven shells that landed in the Harboun Hill area west of Beit Jinn. No casualties were reported.
On Saturday, Israeli forces targeted the Ain al-Shaara area north of Beit Jinn with an artillery shell that landed on agricultural land. On Friday, Israeli forces also shelled the vicinity of Beit Jinn Farm and the area around Tal Bat al-Warda near the town, according to Syria’s official news agency SANA.
Israel continues to violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through repeated incursions into southern Syria, raids on civilian homes and arrests, land bulldozing, and shelling and other attacks.
Syria has repeatedly called for Israel to withdraw from its territory, stressing that all measures taken by Israel are null and void and have no legal effect under international law. Damascus has also called on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities and compel Israel to fully withdraw from southern Syria.
