Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said Sunday that a Russian drone targeted the small town of Yahodyn near the Ukrainian-Polish border overnight.

“Brutal Russian attacks on the Ukrainian-Polish border in Yahodyn are not merely a continuation of its attacks on our country’s borders,” Sybiha wrote on X.
“This is Putin knocking directly on the doors of the European Union and NATO. Dear partners, the Russians are knocking on your doors,” he added.
A spokesperson for Poland’s Border Guard told Reuters that the site of the attack was 800 meters from the Polish border and that the border crossing was temporarily closed during the attack.
Ukrainian Railways said in a separate statement that a drone targeted a passenger train carriage in the Volyn region, just two kilometers from the Polish border.
The company said no one was injured.
Ukraine operates several border crossings with Poland, through which a significant portion of military and humanitarian aid from its allies enters the country.
