Zelenskyy warned airlines and insurance companies on Tuesday that the presence of Ukrainian drones had made Russian airspace dangerous to use and said it had effectively become closed.

The Interfax news agency quoted Nikitin as saying: “Of course, we are preparing for this and taking all these threats into account. We are constantly working to improve aviation safety and airport security requirements. We have solutions for all of this, and we have solutions for all threats.”

“We are working in close coordination with the Ministry of Defense and the Russian National Guard, and I believe we will not allow any major disruption to civil aviation,” he added.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Tuesday that Zelenskyy’s warning suggested that Ukraine intended to engage in “state terrorism,” adding that Moscow would find a way to respond if such an incident occurred.
