Jordan records 11 new COVID-19 deaths, 2,577 new cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 2,577 new COVID-19 cases and 11 new deaths Tuesday, bringing the total death toll to 11,156 and the total number of cases to 880,943.اضافة اعلان
 
The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 839 cases, while Zarqa recorded 378 cases. Irbid registered 507 cases, Balqa 187 cases, Karak recorded 68 cases, Jerash recorded 68 cases, and Tafileh recorded 44 cases. Madaba registered 82 cases, Aqaba 113, Ramtha 67 and Ajloun 103.

The ministry said in a statement that 95 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 104 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 26,185 according to the ministry. Out of 42,932 COVID-19 tests conducted Tuesday, 6 percent of them came back positive.
