Jordan COVID-19 positivity rate stands at 6.02%

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 2,503 new COVID-19 cases and 11 new deaths on Wednesday, bringing the total death toll to 11,167 and the total number of cases to 883,446.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 853 cases, while Zarqa recorded 284 cases. Irbid registered 564 cases, Balqa 138 cases, Karak recorded 102 cases, Jerash recorded 77 cases, and Tafileh recorded 23 cases. Madaba registered 71 cases, Aqaba 96, Ramtha 89 and Ajloun 90.

The ministry said in a statement that 74 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 93 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 26,996 according to the ministry. Out of 41,556 COVID-19 tests conducted Wednesday, 6.02 percent of them came back positive.
