23 new deaths, 2,452 new cases from COVID-19

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 2,452 new COVID-19 cases and 23 new deaths on Sunday, bringing the total death toll to 11,238 and the total number of cases to 892,123.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 808 cases, while Zarqa recorded 239 cases. Irbid registered 506 cases, Balqa 202 cases, Karak recorded 105 cases, Jerash recorded 129 cases, and Tafileh recorded 18 cases. Madaba registered 104 cases, Aqaba 78, Ramtha 19, and Ajloun 128.

The ministry said in a statement that 83 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 115 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 29,582 according to the ministry. Out of 35,769 COVID-19 tests conducted Sunday, 6.86 percent of them came back positive.
