1,232 new COVID-19 cases, eight new deaths

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 1,232 new COVID-19 cases and eight new deaths Wednesday, bringing the total death toll to 10,903 and the total number of cases to 846,033.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 321 cases, while Zarqa recorded 155 cases. Irbid registered 443 cases, Balqa 60 cases, Karak recorded 27, Jerash recorded 20 cases, and Tafileh recorded 22. Madaba registered 31 cases, Aqaba 18, and Ajloun 56.

The ministry said in a statement that around 47 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 89 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 16,145 according to the ministry. Around 5.06 percent of the 24,347 COVID-19 tests conducted today came back positive.
