Jordan on Tuesday condemned Houthi attacks against Saudi Arabia and attempts to target the holy cities of Mecca and Medina.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi held a phone call with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.اضافة اعلان

During the call, Safadi reaffirmed Jordan’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia in confronting Houthi attacks and its unequivocal support for all measures taken by the kingdom to protect its security, stability, sovereignty and the safety of its citizens.

Safadi renewed Jordan’s condemnation of the Houthi attacks against Saudi Arabia, attempts to target Mecca and Medina, and continued attacks on civilian and economic facilities.

He also reaffirmed Jordan’s support for Yemen’s legitimate government and stressed the need to resolve the Yemeni crisis on the basis of principles that ensure the restoration of security and stability in Yemen, safeguard its unity, sovereignty and resources, and meet the aspirations of the Yemeni people, in line with established frameworks.

Safadi and Prince Faisal discussed regional developments and ongoing efforts to end the dangerous escalation in the region and establish lasting security and stability. They reaffirmed their support for these efforts.

The two ministers also stressed the depth of the historic fraternal ties between the two kingdoms and their continued cooperation and coordination to strengthen bilateral relations and address regional issues.
