COVID-19 positivity rate remains high at 4.12 percent

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 758 new COVID-19 cases and 11 new deaths Saturday, bringing the total death toll to 10,941 and the total number of cases to 849,758.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 230 cases, while Zarqa recorded 102 cases. Irbid registered 129 cases, Balqa 52 cases, Karak recorded 13, Jerash recorded 11 cases, and Tafileh recorded 8. Madaba registered 20 cases, Aqaba 38, and Ajloun 53.

The ministry said in a statement that around 34 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 96 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 17,359 according to the ministry. Around 4.12 percent of the 18,381 COVID-19 tests conducted today came back positive.
