Low-cost carrier Wizz Air resumed direct flights between Budapest and Amman on Tuesday after a several-month suspension, with its first flight arriving at Queen Alia International Airport carrying 166 passengers.

The airline will operate three flights per week year-round, strengthening air connectivity between Jordan and European markets while supporting inbound tourism to the Kingdom.
The resumption comes as part of efforts by the Jordan Tourism Board to strengthen air links with targeted tourism markets, facilitate visitor access to Jordan and provide more Hungarian tourists with opportunities to explore the country's tourism, archaeological, historical, natural and religious attractions.
Airport International Group welcomed the resumption of Wizz Air's operations at Queen Alia International Airport, describing it as a positive development, particularly following geopolitical challenges that affected regional air connectivity in recent months.
The resumption reflects continued efforts by government agencies and the Jordan Tourism Board to restore air connectivity, support the tourism sector and strengthen confidence in Jordan as a tourism destination.
