Jordan records 30 new COVID-19 deaths, positivity rate stands at 10.42%

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 6,392 new COVID-19 cases and 30 new deaths on Tuesday, bringing the total death toll to 11,817 and the total number of cases to 988,159.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 2,866 cases, while Zarqa recorded 642 cases. Irbid registered 1,169 cases, Balqa 536 cases, Karak recorded 111cases, Jerash recorded 226 cases, and Tafileh recorded 62 cases. Madaba registered 185 cases, Aqaba 74, Ramtha 41, and Ajloun 168.

The ministry said in a statement that 132 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 193 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 64,437 according to the ministry. Out of 61,337 COVID-19 tests conducted Tuesday 10.42 percent of them came back positive.
