Jordan records 3,196 new COVID-19 cases, positivity rate stands at 8.08%

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 3,196 new COVID-19 cases and 39 new deaths on Sunday, bringing the total death toll to 12,230 and the total number of cases to 1,036,665.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1,263 cases, while Zarqa recorded 285 cases. Irbid registered 631 cases, Balqa 294 cases, Karak recorded 133 cases, Jerash recorded 100 cases, and Tafileh recorded 16 cases. Madaba registered 114 cases, Aqaba 79, Ramtha 2, and Ajloun 99.

The ministry said in a statement that 145 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 188 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 60,709 according to the ministry. Out of 39,534 COVID-19 tests conducted Sunday, 8.08 percent of them came back positive.
