Jordan records 38 new COVID-19 deaths, 3,578 new cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 3,578 new COVID-19 cases and 38 new deaths on Monday, bringing the total death toll to 12,268 and the total number of cases to 1,040,243.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1,552 cases, while Zarqa recorded 375 cases. Irbid registered 620 cases, Balqa 192 cases, Karak recorded 114 cases, Jerash recorded 120 cases, and Tafileh recorded 35 cases. Madaba registered 129 cases, Aqaba 40, Ramtha 81, and Ajloun 97.

The ministry said in a statement that 140 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 146 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 58,476 according to the ministry. Out of 50,362 COVID-19 tests conducted Monday, 7.10 percent of them came back positive.
