Jordan records 2,304 new COVID-19 cases, positivity rate stands at 5.77%

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 2,304 new COVID-19 cases and 31  new deaths on Friday, bringing the total death toll to 12,403 and the total number of cases to 1,050,257.اضافة اعلان


The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1.042 cases, while Zarqa recorded 216 cases. Irbid registered 408 cases, Balqa 111 cases, Karak recorded 57 cases, Jerash recorded 66 cases, and Tafileh recorded 11 cases. Madaba registered 88 cases, Aqaba 50, Ramtha 72, and Ajloun 21.

The ministry said in a statement that 147 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 142 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 46,829 according to the ministry. Out of 39,901 COVID-19 tests conducted Friday, 5.77 percent of them came back positive.
