Jordan records 43 new COVID-19 deaths, 1,447 new cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 1,447 new COVID-19 cases and 43 new deaths on Sunday, bringing the total death toll to 12,487 and the total number of cases to 1,052,868.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 575 cases, while Zarqa recorded 234 cases. Irbid registered 251 cases, Balqa 96 cases, Karak recorded 50 cases, Jerash recorded 54 cases, and Tafileh recorded 14 cases. Madaba registered 102 cases, Aqaba 7, Ramtha 2, and Ajloun 10.

The ministry said in a statement that 106 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 124 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 42,835 according to the ministry. Out of 28,911 COVID-19 tests conducted Sunday, 5.01 percent of them came back positive.
