Jordan records 38 new COVID-19 deaths, 2,403 new cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 2,403 new COVID-19 cases and 38 new deaths on Tuesday, bringing the total death toll to 12,556 and the total number of cases to 1,057,295.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1,111 cases, while Zarqa recorded 298 cases. Irbid registered 404 cases, Balqa 150 cases, Karak recorded 92 cases, Jerash recorded 33 cases, and Tafileh recorded 13 cases. Madaba registered 60 cases, Aqaba 42, Ramtha 55, and Ajloun 50.

The ministry said in a statement that 117 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 137 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 37,604 according to the ministry. Out of 44,125 COVID-19 tests conducted Monday, 5.45 percent of them came back positive.
