Jordan marks 11,813 new cases positivity rate of 22.45%

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 11,813 new COVID-19 cases and 14 new deaths on Tuesday, bringing the total death toll to 13,102 and the total number of cases to 1,164,339.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 6,390 cases, while Zarqa recorded 1,365 cases. Irbid registered 1,187 cases, Balqa 853 cases, Karak recorded 267 cases, Jerash recorded 341 cases, and Tafileh recorded 37 cases. Madaba registered 440 cases, Aqaba 156, Ramtha 73, and Ajloun 318.

The ministry said in a statement that 131 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 151 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 57,439 according to the ministry. Out of 52,623 COVID-19 tests conducted Tuesday, 22.45 percent of them came back positive.
