Jordan records 1,392 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 1,392 new COVID-19 cases and 25 new deaths on Saturday, bringing the total death toll to 12,856 and the total number of cases to 1,077,432.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 891 cases, while Zarqa recorded 154 cases. Irbid registered 154 cases, Balqa 76 cases, Karak recorded 34 cases, Jerash recorded 6 cases, and Tafileh recorded 13 cases. Madaba registered 17 cases, Aqaba 5, Ramtha 0, and Ajloun 8.

The ministry said in a statement that 51 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 74 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 26,011 according to the ministry. Out of 24,429 COVID-19 tests conducted Saturday, 5.70percent of them came back positive.
