Jordan records 21 new COVID-19 deaths, 2,033 new cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 2,033 new COVID-19 cases and 21 new deaths on Friday, bringing the total death toll to 12,831 and the total number of cases to 1,076,040.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1,065 cases, while Zarqa recorded 234 cases. Irbid registered 250 cases, Balqa 133 cases, Karak recorded 18 cases, Jerash recorded 59 cases, and Tafileh recorded 5 cases. Madaba registered 66 cases, Aqaba 30, Ramtha 44, and Ajloun 30.

The ministry said in a statement that 86 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 95 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 25,783 according to the ministry. Out of 37,481 COVID-19 tests conducted Friday, 5.42percent of them came back positive.
