Jordan records 22,720 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 22,720 new COVID-19 cases and 35 new deaths on Tuesday, bringing the total death toll to 13,382 and the total number of cases to 1,374,453.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 9,580 cases, while Zarqa recorded 2,507 cases. Irbid registered 2,997 cases, Balqa 2,017 cases, Karak recorded 1,156 cases, Jerash recorded 853 cases, and Tafileh recorded 293 cases. Madaba registered 485 cases, Aqaba 513, Ramtha 48, and Ajloun 753.

The ministry said in a statement that 229 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 227 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 162,653 according to the ministry. Out of 75,469 COVID-19 tests conducted Tuesday, 30.11 percent of them came back positive.
