Jordan records 21,626 new COVID-19 cases, positivity rate stands at 30.33%

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 21,626 new COVID-19 cases and 27 new deaths on Monday, bringing the total death toll to 13,347 and the total number of cases to 1,351,733.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 9,209 cases, while Zarqa recorded 2,058 cases. Irbid registered 3,082 cases, Balqa 1,708 cases, Karak recorded 1,202 cases, Jerash recorded 694 cases, and Tafileh recorded 321 cases. Madaba registered 657 cases, Aqaba 664, Ramtha 280, and Ajloun 791.

The ministry said in a statement that 225 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 267 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 145,251 according to the ministry. Out of 71,294 COVID-19 tests conducted Monday, 30.33 percent of them came back positive.
