Jordan records 17 new COVID-19 deaths, 8,170 new cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 8,170 new COVID-19 cases and 17 new deaths on Saturday, bringing the total death toll to 13,174 and the total number of cases to 1,197,250.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 4,213 cases, while Zarqa recorded 1,389 cases. Irbid registered 709 cases, Balqa 610 cases, Karak recorded 168 cases, Jerash recorded 139 cases, and Tafileh recorded 0 cases. Madaba registered 202 cases, Aqaba 274, Ramtha 113, and Ajloun 182.

The ministry said in a statement that 101 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 213 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 77,899 according to the ministry. Out of 34,619 COVID-19 tests conducted Saturday, 23.60 percent of them came back positive.
