Jordan records 4,224 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 4,224 new COVID-19 cases and 15 new deaths on Friday, bringing the total death toll to 13,157 and the total number of cases to 1,189,080.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1,216 cases, while Zarqa recorded 824 cases. Irbid registered 1,281 cases, Balqa 299 cases, Karak recorded 87 cases, Jerash recorded 89 cases, and Tafileh recorded 60 cases. Madaba registered 162 cases, Aqaba 27, Ramtha 26, and Ajloun 28.

The ministry said in a statement that 43 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 106 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 78,850 according to the ministry. Out of 20,171 COVID-19 tests conducted Friday, 20.94 percent of them came back positive.
