Jordan records 23 new COVID-19 deaths, 2,296 new cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 2,296 new COVID-19 cases and 23 new deaths on Tuesday, bringing the total death toll to 12,765 and the total number of cases to 1,069,549.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1,121 cases, while Zarqa recorded 231 cases. Irbid registered 314 cases, Balqa 158 cases, Karak recorded 88 cases, Jerash recorded 61 cases, and Tafileh recorded 5 cases. Madaba registered 73 cases, Aqaba 47, Ramtha 32, and Ajloun 41.

The ministry said in a statement that 108 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 102 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 26,283 according to the ministry. Out of 40,671 COVID-19 tests conducted Tuesday, 5.65 percent of them came back positive.
