Jordan records 3,493 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 3,493 new COVID-19 cases and 12 new deaths on Sunday, bringing the total death toll to 12,986 and the total number of cases to 1,100,967.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1,887 cases, while Zarqa recorded 376 cases. Irbid registered 374 cases, Balqa 264 cases, Karak recorded 45 cases, Jerash recorded 96 cases, and Tafileh recorded 21 cases. Madaba registered 83 cases, Aqaba 49, Ramtha 5, and Ajloun 56.

The ministry said in a statement that 69 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 92 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 26,772 according to the ministry. Out of 29,681 COVID-19 tests conducted Sunday, 11.77 percent of them came back positive.
