Jordan records 15 new COVID-19 deaths, 2,387 new cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 2,387 new COVID-19 cases and 15 new deaths on Saturday, bringing the total death toll to 12,974 and the total number of cases to 1,097,474.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1,260 cases, while Zarqa recorded 294 cases. Irbid registered 385 cases, Balqa 242 cases, Karak recorded 44 cases, Jerash recorded 22 cases, and Tafileh recorded 7 cases. Madaba registered 29 cases, Aqaba 23, Ramtha 20, and Ajloun 12.

The ministry said in a statement that 62 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 69 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 25,312 according to the ministry. Out of 27,041 COVID-19 tests conducted Saturday, 8.83 percent of them came back positive.
