Jordan records 3,396 new COVID-19 cases, positivity rate stands at 9.09%

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 3,396 new COVID-19 cases and 14 new deaths on Friday, bringing the total death toll to 12,959 and the total number of cases to 1,095,087.اضافة اعلان


The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 2,075 cases, while Zarqa recorded 369 cases. Irbid registered 337 cases, Balqa 140 cases, Karak recorded 34 cases, Jerash recorded 62 cases, and Tafileh recorded 7 cases. Madaba registered 66 cases, Aqaba 45 , Ramtha 36, and Ajloun 53.

The ministry said in a statement that 92 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 96 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 25,095 according to the ministry. Out of 37,362 COVID-19 tests conducted Friday, 9.09 percent of them came back positive.
