Jordan marks 11,833 new cases positivity rate of 24.84%

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 11,833 new COVID-19 cases and 19 new deaths on Sunday, bringing the total death toll to 13,193 and the total number of cases to 1,209,083.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 6,417 cases, while Zarqa recorded 873 cases. Irbid registered 1,187 cases, Balqa 1,026 cases, Karak recorded 282 cases, Jerash recorded 283 cases, and Tafileh recorded 111 cases. Madaba registered 332 cases, Aqaba 303, Ramtha 180, and Ajloun 253.

The ministry said in a statement that 146 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 198 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 79,853 according to the ministry. Out of 47,644 COVID-19 tests conducted Sunday, 24.84 percent of them came back positive.
