Jordan records 14 new COVID-19 deaths, 6,520 new cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 6,520 new COVID-19 cases and 14 new deaths on Tuesday, bringing the total death toll to 13,849 and the total number of cases to 1,638,228. اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 2,694 cases, while Zarqa recorded 433 cases. Irbid registered 1,000 cases, Balqa 546 cases, Karak recorded 325 cases, Jerash recorded 220 cases, and Tafileh recorded 256 cases. Madaba registered 316 cases, Aqaba 141, Ramtha 66, and Ajloun 154.

The ministry said in a statement that 126 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 122 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 77,950 according to the ministry. Out of 33,572 COVID-19 tests conducted Tuesday, 19.42 percent of them came back positive.
