Jordan records 27 new COVID-19 deaths, 21,977 new cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 21,977 new COVID-19 cases and 27 new deaths on Wednesday, bringing the total death toll to 13,409 and the total number of cases to 1,396,430.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 8,418 cases, while Zarqa recorded 1,594 cases. Irbid registered 3,837 cases, Balqa 1,950 cases, Karak recorded 1,263 cases, Jerash recorded 1,120 cases, and Tafileh recorded 332 cases. Madaba registered 998 cases, Aqaba 450, Ramtha 399, and Ajloun 711.

The ministry said in a statement that 194 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 228 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 177,203 according to the ministry. Out of 71,297 COVID-19 tests conducted Wednesday, 30.82 percent of them came back positive.
