Jordan marks 1,294 new cases positivity rate of 4.38%

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 1,294 new COVID-19 cases and 26 new deaths on Sunday, bringing the total death toll to 12,710 and the total number of cases to 1,065,571.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 685 cases, while Zarqa recorded 204 cases. Irbid registered 95 cases, Balqa 56 cases, Karak recorded 54 cases, Jerash recorded 43 cases, and Tafileh recorded 20 cases. Madaba registered 50 cases, Aqaba 18, Ramtha 2, and Ajloun 34.

The ministry said in a statement that 75 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 75 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 28,906 according to the ministry. Out of 29,514 COVID-19 tests conducted Sunday, 4.38 percent of them came back positive.
