Jordan records 31 new COVID-19 deaths, 872 new cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 872 new COVID-19 cases and 31 new deaths on Saturday, bringing the total death toll to 12,684 and the total number of cases to 1,064,277.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 480 cases, while Zarqa recorded 96 cases. Irbid registered 100 cases, Balqa 43 cases, Karak recorded 18 cases, Jerash recorded 9 cases, and Tafileh recorded 9 cases. Madaba registered 13 cases, Aqaba 11, Ramtha 3, and Ajloun 15.

The ministry said in a statement that 62 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 75 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 30,808 according to the ministry. Out of 27,510 COVID-19 tests conducted Saturday, 3.17 percent of them came back positive.
