Jordan records 1,845 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 1,845 new COVID-19 cases and 33 new deaths on Friday, bringing the total death toll to 12,653 and the total number of cases to 1,063,405.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 797 cases, while Zarqa recorded 211 cases. Irbid registered 304 cases, Balqa 117 cases, Karak recorded 24 cases, Jerash recorded 45 cases, and Tafileh recorded 10 cases. Madaba registered 63 cases, Aqaba 45, Ramtha 45, and Ajloun 62.

The ministry said in a statement that 117 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 116 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 31,856 according to the ministry. Out of 42,039 COVID-19 tests conducted Friday, 4.39 percent of them came back positive.
