Jordan records 4,341 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 4,341 new COVID-19 cases and 30 new deaths on Wednesday, bringing the total death toll to 12,078 and the total number of cases to 1,024,032.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1,637 cases, while Zarqa recorded 450 cases. Irbid registered 933 cases, Balqa 346 cases, Karak recorded 135 cases, Jerash recorded 132 cases, and Tafileh recorded 36 cases. Madaba registered 169 cases, Aqaba 69, Ramtha 93, and Ajloun 102.

The ministry said in a statement that 162 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 206 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 65,042 according to the ministry. Out of 51,529 COVID-19 tests conducted Wednesday, 8.42 percent of them came back positive.
