Jordan records 3,897 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 3,897 new COVID-19 cases and 41 new deaths on Sunday, bringing the total death toll to 11,982 and the total number of cases to 1,010,033.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1,325 cases, while Zarqa recorded 314 cases. Irbid registered 897 cases, Balqa 343 cases, Karak recorded 128 cases, Jerash recorded 163 cases, and Tafileh recorded 26 cases. Madaba registered 206 cases, Aqaba 100, Ramtha 54, and Ajloun 102.

The ministry said in a statement that 111 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 193 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 66,728 according to the ministry. Out of 36,527 COVID-19 tests conducted Sunday, 10.67 percent of them came back positive.
