According to the Executive Program of the Economic Modernization Vision 2023–2025—which includes action plans to enhance Jordan’s competitiveness across several international indicators, including the Global Knowledge Index—the government adopted an executive plan prepared by the Ministry of Education and endorsed by the Economic Modernization and Development Committee. The Ministry is the entity responsible for coordinating all efforts related to this indicator.

Over the past years, the Ministry has worked closely with all relevant bodies to analyze Jordan’s performance on the index, identify priority areas for improving competitiveness, circulate the plan, and follow up on its implementation.

This progress reflects Jordan’s strong commitment to advancing its knowledge ecosystem and improving its standing in international indicators, as part of ongoing efforts to achieve the objectives of the Economic Modernization Vision. The goal is to strengthen Jordan’s knowledge-based economy founded on innovation and technology.
