The Commission indicated that it urges those who publish such allegations to submit any evidence they possess to protect the public interest.

On Wednesday, the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission issued a statement regarding remarks made by Member of Parliament (MP) Mustafa Al-Amawi concerning suspected corruption, confirming that he failed to provide any evidence or documents to support his claims.

An official source at the Commission stated that Al-Amawi attended the Commission's headquarters after being requested to clarify statements he made during a press interview. However, the information he provided was strictly verbal, referencing old development projects dating back to before 2003, in addition to his previous remarks made under the parliament dome.

The source added that the Commission contacted several relevant authorities to verify the information raised by the MP. Investigations revealed that some of these cases had already been reviewed by the judiciary, resulting in final and conclusive court rulings, while the other mentioned projects had undergone auditing by specialized oversight bodies.

The Commission emphasized that most of the matters raised by Al-Amawi involve old cases spanning more than twenty years, which had been brought before previous parliaments and dealt with in accordance with the provisions of the law.

Furthermore, the Commission stressed that despite the lack of any supporting documents or evidence, it continues to conduct search, investigation, and information-gathering operations regarding the remaining topics mentioned by the MP. It reiterated that its doors remain open to receive complaints and reports through various channels.
