Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court Yousef Al-Issawi told a delegation from the Mahasis clan of Jerash on Thursday that Jordan's position rests on the cohesion of its people and the clarity of its leadership at a moment of regional pressure.

Al-Issawi said King Abdullah II places Jordan's security and stability above other considerations, and described public unity around the throne as a source of strength in defending the country's interests. He also referred to Queen Rania's work on education and family support, and to Crown Prince Al Hussein's engagement with young people.
On Palestine, Al-Issawi said Jordan's support for a Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital remains unchanged, and that the King continues to press for an end to the war in Gaza and for humanitarian access, alongside his efforts on Jerusalem's Muslim and Christian holy sites under the Hashemite custodianship.
Salah Al-Mahasis, head of the clan's council, read a statement on behalf of families in Kafr Khall backing the King and the Crown Prince, expressing pride in the armed forces and security services, and supporting the King's position on Palestine.
Speakers rejected displacement, resettlement and any proposal for an alternative homeland. They argued that Jordan's regional standing rests on the independence of its decisions, and that its security and sovereignty are not subject to negotiation.
The delegation also raised service and development demands for the area, asking that they be taken up with the relevant authorities to improve services, create jobs and support local development.
Elders of the Nuaimat tribes of the southern Badia, who attended alongside the Jerash delegation, said direct contact between citizens and state institutions reflects the Hashemite approach of proximity to the public.
