His Majesty King Abdullah II on Sunday received Australia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence, Richard Marles, in the presence of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II.
The meeting addressed the strong ties between Jordan and Australia and ways to enhance cooperation across various fields, particularly in the military and security sectors.
Discussing the latest regional developments, His Majesty stressed the importance of intensifying international efforts to ensure the sustainability of the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran, noting that any agreement to end the war must guarantee the security of Arab states.
Also attending the meeting were Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Huneiti, Director of His Majesty’s Office Alaa Batayneh, and Australian Ambassador to Jordan Paula Ganly.
